# Wisdom Masjid: How to use (complete guide) > Wisdom Masjid is a platform for running masjids: the member and family register, monthly membership fees and receipts, events, donations and expenses, Zakat and Fitr Zakat, madrasa, prayer times and the masjid TV, a calendar, videos and notifications. Masjid staff use the Wisdom Masjid app, the community uses the MARHABA side of the same app, and anyone can open a receipt or statement link without signing in. This file is the whole public How to use guide in one place, generated from the same source as https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help. It has two parts: masjid staff, and the community and public. Answer from the part that matches who is asking. - Masjid staff: Masjid admins, treasurers, collectors, viewers, madrasa admins and madrasa teachers (The Wisdom Masjid app (web or installed on your phone), signed in as Masjid staff) - Community & public: Anyone who follows a masjid in the MARHABA app, gives to a masjid, applies for help or admission, or checks their membership dues. Also anyone who was sent a receipt, statement, student or event link. (The Community side of the Wisdom Masjid app (web, or installed on your phone). Public links open in any browser without signing in.) --- # Wisdom Masjid: Masjid staff Who: Masjid admins, treasurers, collectors, viewers, madrasa admins and madrasa teachers Where: The Wisdom Masjid app (web or installed on your phone), signed in as Masjid staff Web page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/staff The staff side of the Wisdom Masjid app is where a masjid's committee and volunteers do the daily work: keep the family and member register, collect monthly fees and give receipts, follow up on pending dues, look after the money in every account and in every pocket, run events, donations and expenses, the Zakat Cell, Fitr Zakat and the madrasa, and keep the community informed through the calendar, prayer times, the masjid TV, videos, notifications and the masjid page in the MARHABA app. Each person only sees the parts their role allows, and only the modules the Wisdom team has turned on for the masjid. ## Signing in Open the Wisdom Masjid app and make sure the Masjid staff tab is selected at the top of the sign-in card. Enter your mobile number (the country code is picked on the left) and the password the masjid admin gave you, then tap Sign in. If you do not know your password, tap Sign in with a WhatsApp code instead: tap Send code on WhatsApp, type the 6-digit code you receive, and tap Verify. Only numbers that the masjid admin has added under Users & roles can sign in as staff. To change your password, ask the masjid admin; they can set a new one for you in Users & roles. Sign out from More (on a phone) or with the button at the bottom of the sidebar (on a computer). ## Installing the app on your phone The app is at your site address followed by /app (the address without /app is the public website with the videos and this guide). It runs in the phone browser and can be installed like a normal app. On Android, open it in Chrome and choose Install app (or Add to Home screen) from the browser menu. On an iPhone, open it in Safari, tap Share and then Add to Home Screen. After that it opens full screen from its own icon. When there is no internet the app shows "You are offline. Showing saved data." and you can still look at lists you opened before; saving changes needs a connection. When a new version is ready, a bar appears with a Reload button. ## Finding your way around On a phone, the bar at the bottom holds up to four main tabs (for most people Home, Families, Collect and Reports) and More. More shows your name, masjid and role, a tile for every screen you can open, the Language switch and Sign out. A red dot on More means you have unread messages in the Inbox. On a computer or tablet the full list of screens sits in the sidebar on the left, with an unread count next to Inbox. Most lists work the same way: a search box at the top, a filter button (the sliders icon) where there are filters, and more rows load as you scroll. Forms and actions open as sheets that slide up from the bottom; the three-dot button at the top right of a family or member opens its actions. ## Roles: who sees what Every staff user has one role, set by the masjid admin. Masjid admin: everything in the masjid, including users, settings, the subscription, waivers and cancelling older payments. Treasurer: families and members, dues, all payments, accounts, reports, events, donations, expenses, Zakat and Fitr, app payments and applications, but not users or settings, and can cancel a payment only on the day it was made. Collector: only the families in the areas given to them; can look up members and dues, collect payments and donations, receive Zakat, and see their own collections. Viewer: read-only, for committee members who want to see the register, dues, accounts and reports. Madrasa admin: the whole madrasa (students, classes, fees, staff, salary, accounts, reports). Madrasa teacher: their own classes, fee collection and madrasa reports. Buttons you are not allowed to use are simply not shown, and the server checks every action again. ## Modules the Wisdom team turns on Membership, dues, payments, accounts and reports are always there. Other parts are modules that the Wisdom Masjid team switches on for each masjid, usually according to its plan: Events & donations, Zakat Cell, Fitr Zakat, Madrasa, Calendar, Videos, Prayer times, TV display, Notifications, the app page, Applications and the Family tree. A module that is off does not appear in the menu for anyone. The masjid admin can see every module, ask for one that is off, or hide one from staff on the Subscription screen. ## English and Malayalam Switch the language from the sign-in screen (the മലയാളം / English link under the form) or from More → Language. The menu and main labels change, and names that were entered in Malayalam (house names, member names, the masjid name, events, fee types) are shown in Malayalam. Many forms have a second field for the Malayalam version of a name or message; fill it in so community users who read Malayalam see it. Some screens are still in English only. ## The plan notice The masjid's use of Wisdom Masjid runs on a plan. In the last 15 days of the plan a yellow bar at the top of every screen says how many days are left. When the plan has expired the bar says so: you can still open and view everything, but changes are paused until the plan is renewed. The plan name and end date are also shown at the bottom of More. Only the masjid admin can renew, from Subscription. ## Home dashboard Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/staff/home The first screen after signing in: how this month is going, and shortcuts to the screens you use most. What it does: - Collected this month, with a bar and the percentage of what was expected for the month. - Outstanding: all fees still pending (across the masjid, or across your areas for a collector). - Families · Members: how many are on the register. - Advance held: money people have paid ahead for months not yet billed. - Up to eight shortcut tiles for the screens your role can open. - Last 12 months: one bar per month. The light bar is what was expected, the dark bar is what was collected. - The bell at the top right opens your Inbox. ### Check how collection is going this month 1. Tap Home in the bottom bar (or in the sidebar on a computer). 2. Look at Collected this month: the yellow bar fills as more of the expected amount comes in. 3. Compare it with Outstanding, which is everything still pending, including older months. 4. Scroll down to Last 12 months to see whether this month is better or worse than earlier ones. 5. Tap a shortcut tile, for example Dues, to follow up on who has not paid. Good to know: - The figures only show for roles that can see dues. Madrasa staff see the shortcuts only. ### Read messages for staff 1. Tap the bell at the top right of Home. 2. Your Inbox opens with the newest message first. Unread ones have a blue edge. 3. Tap a message to mark it read. See the Inbox module for more. Questions: Q: Why do I not see any numbers on Home? A: The figures are only shown to roles that can see dues (admin, treasurer, collector, viewer). Madrasa admins and teachers see the shortcut tiles only. Q: Why is Expected for this month different from last month? A: Expected is the total of the dues made for that month. It changes when members join or leave, when someone has their own fee, or when the billing setting changes. ## Families & members Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/staff/families-members The mahallu register: every family (house) with its members, their position in the family, and how they are related. What it does: - Families: house name (with Malayalam), family number, area, address, head of the family and an optional own monthly fee. - Members: name, position in the family (head, wife, son, daughter-in-law…), gender, date of birth, joined date, mobile and WhatsApp, occupation, blood group, category, own fee, earning, and whether they are a registered member. - Every family has exactly one head. Change the head from the family, not from the member. - Move a member to another family (for example after marriage); the move is kept in the transfer history. - Member status: active, inactive, left or deceased, with a date and a note. Only active members are billed. - Category: ordinary, life, honorary or student. Life and honorary members are never billed the monthly fee. - Each family has a personal link that shows its dues and receipts without an app. - Fees card (on a family and on a member page): the fees they pay, with the amount and from which month. Add a fee puts them on an extra fee from Settings → Fees; tap an amount to give them their own amount or stop it after a month. - Family tree (when the module is on): link parents, children and spouses, even across families, and see up to four generations each way. - Collectors only see families in the areas given to them. ### Put a family or member on an extra fee 1. Make the fee first in More → Settings → Fees (for example Building fund, ₹100 a month). 2. Open the family (or the member, when the masjid charges each member). 3. On the Fees card, tap Add a fee. 4. Choose the fee. Leave Own amount empty to use its usual amount, or type a different one for this family. 5. Choose From month and, if it should stop, Until month. Tap Add fee. 6. Dues for the fee are made from that month, and show in Collect with the monthly fee; the oldest are paid first. Good to know: - To change the amount or stop a fee later, tap its amount on the Fees card. Dues already made keep their amount; waive them in Dues if needed. - Only people who can manage fees (admins) see Add a fee. ### Add a new family 1. Tap Families, then the + button at the top right. 2. Enter the House name, and the House name (Malayalam) if you have it. 3. Choose the Area and add the Address. 4. Leave Own monthly fee empty to use the masjid default; fill it in only if this family pays a different amount. 5. Under Head of the family, enter the head’s Name, Gender, Mobile and Date of birth. 6. Tap Save. The family opens with its family number and the head as its first member. Good to know: - The family number is given automatically, using the prefix set in Settings → Billing. - Once a family is on the register and billable, its monthly dues are created automatically, starting from the month it joined. ### Add a member to a family 1. Open the family from Families (search by house name, family number or phone). 2. In the Members card, tap Add. 3. Enter the Name and choose the Position in the family. 4. Fill in what you know: gender, date of birth, joined on, mobile, WhatsApp, occupation, blood group. 5. Pick the Category, tick Earning if they earn, and keep Registered member ticked if they are a member of the masjid. 6. Tap Save. Good to know: - Date of birth matters when the masjid bills adults only: someone without a date of birth is treated as an adult. - Own monthly fee on a member is used when the masjid bills each member, for example a lower fee for a student. ### Change the head of a family 1. Open the family and tap the three-dot button at the top right. 2. Tap Change head. 3. Choose the New head from the members of the family. 4. Choose what The current head becomes (for example father or mother). 5. Tap Save. ### Move a member to another family 1. Open the member (from Members or from their family). 2. Tap the three-dot button and choose Move to another family. 3. Search and pick the New family. 4. Choose their Position there, the Reason (marriage, separation, new house, correction or other) and the Date. 5. Tap Move. Good to know: - The head of a family cannot be moved. Make someone else the head first. - Past dues and payments stay where they were. The move shows in Transfer history on the family’s three-dot menu. ### Mark a member as left or deceased 1. Open the member and tap the three-dot button. 2. Tap Change status. 3. Choose the Status, set the Date and add a Note if useful. 4. Tap Save. From the next month they are no longer billed; dues already made stay. ### Link relatives and see the family tree 1. Open a member. If the masjid has the Family tree module, a Relatives card is shown. 2. Tap Link, choose whether this person is Parent of…, Child of… or Spouse of…, search the relative and tap Link. 3. If a yellow Suggested links box appears, tap Confirm next to a suggestion that is right. 4. Tap Family tree on the member to see parents, grandparents, children and grandchildren in rows. 5. Use the 2 / 3 / 4 generations choice at the top, and tap any person to see the tree from them. Good to know: - People who live in another family are shown with their house name in blue. Questions: Q: Can I delete a family? A: Only the masjid admin can, and only when nothing has ever been paid for it. Otherwise mark its members as left so the history stays. Q: How do I share a family’s dues with them? A: Open the family and tap Share under Personal link. They get a link that shows their pending months and receipts without signing in. Q: Can I download the member list? A: Admins and treasurers see a download button at the top of Members. It exports the list with the filters and search you have applied. Q: Why can a collector not find a family? A: Collectors only see families in the areas given to them in Users & roles. Ask the admin to add the area, or check that the family has the right area. ## How the money works Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/staff/how-the-money-works One page to understand the whole flow: how fees turn into dues, how a payment becomes a receipt and lands in an account, how cash in someone’s hand reaches the bank, and why nothing is ever edited or deleted. What it does: - Dues. Each month the app creates a due for every family or member who pays (depending on the billing setting) for the monthly fee. Missed months are filled in automatically, so a family that joined in January but was added in March still gets January and February. - Payment. When you collect, the money pays the oldest pending months first, unless you tick particular months. A month can be part paid. - Advance. Anything more than what is pending is kept as advance for that family or member. When the next month’s due is created, the advance pays it automatically. - Receipt. Every payment gets a receipt number straight away, from one running series. Receipts can be shared on WhatsApp or downloaded as PDF, and anyone with the link can check that the receipt is genuine. - Account. Every payment goes into an account: a masjid account (cash box, bank, UPI) or an account of the person who collected it, such as their cash in hand. The app asks "Where is the money?" every time. - Cash in hand → hand-over → bank. Cash you collect stays in your cash in hand until you hand it over to a masjid account, for example when the treasurer takes it or you deposit it. Money paid into your own UPI or bank works the same way. Every move is recorded with who, when, from, to and a note. - Separate funds. General money, Zakat, Fitr and each madrasa are separate funds with their own accounts. Money never moves between them, except the recorded transfer between the masjid and its madrasa. - Cancelling, never editing. A wrong payment is cancelled with a reason, never changed or deleted. The months become pending again, the money leaves the account, and the receipt is marked cancelled. Its number is not reused, so there are no gaps. - Waiving. The admin can let a family off what is left of a due, with a reason. No money moves, and reports show waived amounts separately. - Public links. Receipt links, the family personal link, the student link and the event statement link let people check things themselves without an app. ### Follow one payment from due to bank 1. At the start of the month the app creates this month’s due for the family (for example ₹200). 2. A collector opens Collect, finds the family and collects ₹500 in cash. 3. The app pays the oldest pending months first, keeps anything left over as advance, and gives a receipt number. 4. The collector taps Share on WhatsApp. The family can open the link to check the receipt. 5. Because In my hand was chosen, the ₹500 now shows in the collector’s My money as cash in hand. 6. In the evening the collector opens Collect → My day and taps Hand over, choosing the masjid cash account. Their cash in hand goes back to zero. 7. When the cash is deposited, the treasurer records it in Accounts with Transfer, from the cash account to the bank account. Good to know: - At every step the totals stay right: a fund’s total counts money in masjid accounts and money people are holding. ### Fix a wrong payment 1. Open Payments and tap the payment. 2. Tap Cancel payment and type the reason (for example "Wrong family"). 3. The months it paid become pending again and the money leaves the account it went into. 4. Collect again from the right family with the right amount. A new receipt is given. Good to know: - A treasurer can only cancel a payment on the day it was made. Older payments need the masjid admin. ### See where all the money is right now 1. Open Accounts (More → Accounts on a phone). 2. Stay on the Where is the money tab. 3. Each fund shows its total, the masjid’s own accounts, and under With people what each person is holding. 4. Tap any account to see every entry in and out, with who did it. Questions: Q: Why does a family still show pending months after paying? A: Payments always clear the oldest months first. If they paid less than everything pending, the newest months are still open. If they wanted to pay particular months, tick those months when collecting. Q: What happens if I change the monthly fee? A: Only dues made after the change use the new amount. Dues already made keep their amount. Q: Can a payment be edited? A: No. Money records are never edited. Cancel it with a reason and collect again. The cancelled receipt stays in the list, marked cancelled. Q: Is money in a collector’s hand counted in the masjid’s total? A: Yes. It still belongs to the fund. Accounts → Where is the money shows it under With people until it is handed over. ## Collect Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/staff/collect Take a monthly fee payment from a family or a member, give the receipt, and keep track of what you collected today. What it does: - Search by family or by member (name, number or phone). The pending total, advance and each pending month are shown. - Quick amounts: 1 month, or All pending. - Tick months to pay those first; otherwise the oldest months are paid first. Extra money is kept as advance. - Mode: cash, UPI, bank or cheque, with a reference (UTR or cheque number) for non-cash. - Where is the money? Choose In my hand, your own UPI or bank, or a masjid account. Cash goes to In my hand unless you change it; other modes go to the masjid’s main account. - After saving, the Payment received sheet shows the months paid, with Share on WhatsApp and PDF. - If nothing is pending, the whole amount is taken as advance for future months. - My day: what you collected today, your cash in hand, and Hand over. - Whether you collect from families or from members depends on the masjid’s billing setting. ### Collect a monthly fee 1. Tap Collect in the bottom bar. 2. Choose family or member, then search and pick the payer. 3. Check the Pending total and the list of months. Tick months only if they want to pay particular ones. 4. Check the Amount (it starts at the full pending total) or tap the 1 month or All chip. 5. Choose the mode: cash, upi, bank or cheque. For non-cash, type the Reference. 6. Under Where is the money?, check the choice: In my hand for cash you keep, or a masjid account if the money went straight there. 7. Tap Collect ₹… The Payment received sheet opens. 8. Tap Share on WhatsApp to send the receipt, or PDF to download it, then Done. Good to know: - You can also start from a family, a member or a row in Dues: tap Collect (or the coin button) and the payer is already filled in. - Collectors only see families in their areas. ### Take an advance (for example a full year) 1. Open Collect and pick the family or member. 2. Type the full amount, for example 12 months of fees. 3. Choose the mode and where the money is, then tap Collect. 4. Whatever is not needed for pending months is kept as advance. 5. Each new month’s due is paid from the advance automatically when it is created. ### Check your day and hand over cash 1. Open Collect and switch to the My day tab. 2. See Collected today with the number of receipts, and Cash in hand. 3. Tap a payment in the list to open it. 4. To hand over cash, tap Hand over under Cash in hand. 5. Choose the masjid account it goes To, check the Amount and add a Note. 6. Tap Hand over. Your cash in hand goes down by that amount. Good to know: - Tap All money I am holding to open My money, which also shows your own UPI or bank accounts and other funds. Questions: Q: The family wants to pay for one particular month only. Can I do that? A: Yes. Tick that month in the list. The amount changes to that month’s total and the payment goes to it first. Q: The money was paid into my own GPay. What do I choose? A: Choose your own UPI account under Where is the money?. If it is not there yet, add it first in My money with + Account. It then shows as money you are holding until you hand it over. Q: Can families pay online themselves? A: They can pay by UPI or bank transfer from the MARHABA side of the app and send proof; staff then check it in App payments. Card or instant online payment of dues is not available yet. ## Dues Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/staff/dues Every month that is still pending, for every family or member, in one list. What it does: - The header shows how many dues are open and their total. - Filter by from month, to month and area. - Each row shows the payer, the month, the fee, what is left and the status (pending or part paid). - The coin button on a row opens Collect for that payer. - Waive (admin only): let someone off what is left of a due, with a reason. - Add a one-off due for a family or member, for example a building fund share. - Create this month’s dues: runs the monthly creation now. It also runs by itself every night. ### Find who has pending dues 1. Open Dues (More → Dues on a phone). 2. Set the From and To months, or leave them empty for all months. 3. Choose an area to see one part of the mahallu. 4. Tap the coin button on a row to collect from that family or member. ### Waive a due 1. Find the due in Dues. 2. Tap the percent badge button on the row. 3. Type the reason, for example "Poor family, committee decision". 4. Tap Waive. The month is no longer pending; no money moves. Good to know: - Only the masjid admin can waive. Waived amounts are shown separately in reports. ### Add a one-off due 1. In Dues, tap the + button at the top. 2. Choose family or member and search the payer. 3. Enter the Amount, the Date and What for. 4. Tap Save. It is collected like any other due, oldest first. ### Create this month’s dues now 1. In Dues, tap the circular arrows button at the top. 2. A message says how many dues were created. Dues that already exist are never made twice. Good to know: - You normally do not need this: the app creates dues every night, including any missed months. Questions: Q: Why is there no due for some families? A: Dues are only made for those who pay: active families, or active registered members who match the billing rule (for example adults only). Life and honorary members are not billed, and no due is made when the fee works out to ₹0. Q: Can I delete a wrong due? A: There is no delete button on this screen. If a due should not be paid, the admin can waive it with a reason. ## Payments Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/staff/payments Every membership payment with its receipt. Payments are never edited: a wrong one is cancelled with a reason. What it does: - Each row shows the payer, receipt number, date, mode and who collected it. Cancelled ones are faded. - Filters: from and to date, mode (cash, upi, bank, cheque, online) and status (active or cancelled). - A payment shows the account it went into, who collected it, the reference, and the months it paid (or Kept as advance). - PDF and Share for the receipt. - Cancel payment with a reason: the months become pending again and the money leaves the account. - Collectors see only their own payments. ### Send a receipt again 1. Open Payments. 2. Use the filter button to narrow by date or mode if needed, then tap the payment. 3. Tap Share to send the receipt link, or PDF to download it. 4. The family can also share the receipt on WhatsApp or download the PDF themselves from the receipt link. ### Cancel a payment 1. Open the payment from Payments. 2. Tap Cancel payment. 3. Type the reason and confirm. 4. The payment shows as cancelled with the reason. The months it paid are pending again. Good to know: - Admins can cancel any payment; treasurers only payments made that day. - If its advance had already been used for later months, those months become pending again too. Questions: Q: Can I change the amount or the family on a payment? A: No. Cancel it with a reason and collect again correctly. This keeps a full and honest record. Q: What does the family see if I cancel? A: Their receipt link shows Cancelled receipt. The receipt number is never given to anyone else. ## Reports Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/staff/reports Collection figures, defaulters, WhatsApp reminders and family statements, with PDF and Excel download. What it does: - This month: expected, collected, waived and outstanding for a month, and what was received by mode. - Defaulters: families or members behind by at least 1, 2, 3, 6 or 12 months. - Reminders: the same list with a WhatsApp button that opens a ready reminder message. Tap the WhatsApp button on a row. WhatsApp opens with the reminder message for that family. 4. Send it in WhatsApp and come back. The button greys out so you know it was sent today. Good to know: - The wording comes from Settings → Messages → Fee reminder. - Collectors open Reports too, but see only the Reminders tab (for their own areas). ### Get a family’s statement 1. In Reports, tap Statement. 2. Choose a family. 3. See Billed, Paid and Waived, then each line with the running balance. 4. Download it as PDF to print or send. Questions: Q: How do the figures fit together? A: Every report follows expected = collected + waived + outstanding. If the totals look off, check the waived amount. Q: Can collectors see reports? A: Not by default. Reports are for admins, treasurers and viewers. Collectors check their own day in Collect → My day. ## Accounts Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/staff/accounts The masjid’s cash, bank and UPI accounts for every fund, what each person is holding, and moving money between them. What it does: - Where is the money: for each fund (General, Zakat, Fitr and each madrasa) the total, the masjid’s own accounts, and With people: what each staff member is holding. - Tabs for General, Zakat and Fitr list every account of that fund with its balance, including people’s own accounts. - Tap any account to see its statement: every entry in and out, when, by whom, and the balance after. - New account (the + button): name, type (cash, bank or UPI), fund and opening balance. - Transfer (on a fund tab): move money between two accounts of the same fund, with a note, for example a bank deposit. - Move to masjid account: record money someone hands to you, from the Where is the money tab. - Funds are kept apart: money never moves between General, Zakat and Fitr. ### Record a bank deposit 1. Enter a Name, for example "SBI current account". 3. Choose the Type and the Fund. 4. Enter the Opening balance (what is in it today) and tap Save. A: Admins and treasurers can move money between any accounts of the same fund. Viewers can only look. Everyone else can hand over their own money from My money. ## My money Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/staff/my-money Money you are holding for the masjid: cash people gave you, and money paid into your own UPI or bank, until you hand it over. What it does: - You are holding: your total across all funds. - Grouped by fund (General, Zakat, Fitr, each madrasa), one row per account: Cash in hand, your UPI, your bank account. - Cash in hand is made for you the first time you collect cash. - + Account adds your own UPI or bank account for a fund, so you can choose it when collecting. - Hand over moves money to a masjid account, or to another of your own accounts in the same fund. - Tap an account to see its history: every amount in and out, when, and the balance after. - An own UPI or bank account can be closed when it holds nothing. - Every staff user has My money. Choose To: a masjid account, or another of your accounts. 4. Check the Amount and add a Note, for example the bank slip number. 5. Tap Hand over. Your balance goes down and the masjid account goes up. ### See your history 1. Open My money. 2. Tap an account name, for example Cash in hand. 3. Scroll the list: green is money in, red is money out, with the balance after each line. Questions: Q: Why is the money I collected not in the masjid account? The payment and receipt use the amount you confirm. Q: Can the same request be accepted twice? A: No. A request can only ever make one payment. ## Users & roles Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/staff/users-roles Who can sign in as staff for the masjid, their role, and for collectors, their areas. The admin can upgrade it from Subscription. ## Settings Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/staff/settings Areas, fees, who pays, numbering, WhatsApp messages, the receipt design and categories. What it does: - Areas: parts of the mahallu with a Malayalam name, code and order. An area with families cannot be deleted; switch it off instead. - Fees: the membership fee and other regular fees, with who pays, usual amount, how often and how many are paying. Switch a fee off to stop new dues. - Billing: who pays the monthly fee (each member or each family; for members: all, adults only, earning only, or heads only), the default fees, the due day, and number prefixes for receipts, members and families. - Changing who pays starts from next month at the earliest. Old dues, payments and advances stay as they are. - Messages: the WhatsApp fee reminder and receipt message, with fill-in words in double curly brackets. - Receipt design: layout (modern, classic, branded), colours, title, top and bottom lines, signature, and what to show. Changes are checked by the Wisdom team before they print. - Receipts show a DEMO mark until the Wisdom team verifies your masjid. - Categories: donation and expense categories, each with a Malayalam name, turned on or off. - Online payments: the masjid’s own Razorpay account (Key Id, Key Secret, webhook secret) for donation appeals on the website. See Donation appeals on the website. ### Add an area 1. Open Settings, Areas, and tap Add. 2. Enter the name, Malayalam name, short code and order. 3. Use Preview on any version, and Use to go back to an approved earlier version. Questions: Q: I changed the monthly fee but old months still show the old amount. A: That is expected. A new fee applies to dues made after the change. Q: Why do receipts say DEMO? A: The Wisdom Masjid team has not verified your masjid yet. Contact them. ## Subscription & modules Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/staff/subscription The masjid’s plan, its limits, renewing or changing it, and which modules are on. A: Everyone can still view everything, but changes are paused until the plan is renewed. Q: What does Hide from staff do? A: The module stays on for the masjid, but its menu item is hidden from staff, for example while you are still setting it up. ## Inbox Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/staff/inbox Messages for you as staff, from your masjid and from the Wisdom organisation. What it does: - Newest first, with the sender and time. Unread messages have a blue edge. - Tap a message to mark it read, or Mark all read at the top. - Some messages ask you to confirm: tap I have read this. - The unread count shows next to Inbox in the sidebar, and as a red dot on More on a phone. ### Read and confirm messages 1. Q: Why must I confirm some messages? A: The sender asked staff to confirm they read it, for example a circular. They can see who has confirmed. --- # Wisdom Masjid: Community & public Who: Anyone who follows a masjid in the MARHABA app, gives to a masjid, applies for help or admission, or checks their membership dues. Also anyone who was sent a receipt, statement, student or event link. Where: The Community side of the Wisdom Masjid app (web, or installed on your phone). Public links open in any browser without signing in. Web page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/community MARHABA is the community side of the Wisdom Masjid app. After signing in with your phone number you can follow up to three masjids, see their prayer times, news, projects and calendar, watch videos, give donations, Zakat and Fitr Zakat, apply to the masjid's wings, and, if your masjid has you in its member register, see your family's dues and receipts and pay them. Receipts, statements and event pages that a masjid shares as a link open for anyone, without an account. ## What MARHABA is MARHABA is the part of the Wisdom Masjid app made for the community. Masjid staff use the same app with a staff sign-in; you use the Community sign-in. The installed app is called Masjid on your phone and the sign-in screen says Wisdom Masjid; the community screens inside it are what we call MARHABA. It is free for you to use. What you see depends on the masjids you follow: their prayer times, news, projects and campaigns, wings, forms, calendar and videos, plus organisation-wide news and events from Wisdom. ## Signing in with your phone Open the app and choose Community at the top of the sign-in card. Enter your mobile number (pick the country first if it is not India) and tap Send code on WhatsApp. A code arrives on WhatsApp; type it in the Code box. The first time, also fill in Your name (first time only), then tap Verify. There is no password and no separate sign-up: the first time you verify a number, your MARHABA account is made. If you typed the wrong number, tap Change number. If the Wisdom Guide already knows your number, parts of your profile are filled in for you. To sign out, open Me and tap Sign out at the bottom. ## Finding your way around On a phone, five tabs sit at the bottom: Home, Masjids, Calendar, Videos and Me. The bell at the top of Home and Me opens your Notifications. Forms, the prayer times for the week and video players open as sheets that slide up from the bottom; swipe down or tap outside to close them. On a computer the same screens open in a narrow column in the middle of the window with the same five tabs at the bottom; there is no side menu on the community side. ## Installing on your phone Open the app at your site address followed by /app (for example the link your masjid shared; the address without /app is the public website with videos and help). The app works in the browser, but it is nicer installed. On Android in Chrome, open the app, tap the ⋮ menu and choose Add to Home screen (or Install app). On an iPhone in Safari, tap the Share button and choose Add to Home Screen. An icon called Masjid appears on your home screen and opens full screen. When a new version is ready, a blue bar appears near the bottom; tap Reload. If you lose internet, a dark bar at the bottom says you are offline. ## English and Malayalam Switch between English and മലയാളം on the sign-in screen (bottom right), or later in Me → Language. Your choice is saved to your account. Masjid names, news, forms and videos show in Malayalam where the masjid has written a Malayalam version, and in English otherwise. Public receipt and statement pages have their own language button at the top right. ## Privacy: what masjids can and cannot see A masjid sees only what you send to it. When you give or pay dues, the masjid's treasurer sees your name and phone number, the amount, your reference number and your payment screenshot, because they need these to check the payment. When you apply on a form, the masjid sees your name, phone, your answers and the files you attach; answers marked sensitive (for example medical or income details) are shown only to the staff allowed to see them. Masjids do not get a list of their followers, and they cannot see your profile details (email, date of birth, job, organisation), your family list, the other masjids you follow, or what you gave to other masjids. Following a masjid only means its notifications for followers reach you. The Wisdom team that runs the platform can see the list of app users so it can block misuse. ## Home Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/community/home Your starting screen: your masjid, today's prayer times, quick buttons and the latest news. What it does: - A greeting with your first name, and a bell at the top right that opens Notifications. - A card for your masjid (the one marked My masjid). Tap it to open the masjid page. - Today's prayer times for that masjid: adhan time, iqamah time below it, the next prayer highlighted, the Hijri date, and the Jumu'ah speaker or topic when the masjid has added one. - Four quick buttons: Give, Calendar, Videos and Masjid. - News: the five latest news items from the masjids you follow and from the organisation. - If you do not follow any masjid yet, Home shows Find your masjid with a button Find masjids near me. ### Check today's prayer times 1. Open the Home tab. 2. Look at the prayer card under your masjid's name. The highlighted box is the next prayer. 3. The big time in each box is the adhan; the small time under it is the iqamah (jama'ah) at your masjid. 4. For the whole week, tap your masjid's card, then tap Times on the masjid page. Good to know: - Prayer times show only if your masjid uses the prayer times feature. If the card is missing, the masjid has not turned it on. ### Read and share a news item 1. Open the Home tab and scroll to News. 2. Tap a news item to open it. 3. If it has a PDF or other file, tap Open attachment. 4. Tap Share at the bottom (or the share icon at the top) to send it on WhatsApp or another app. 5. Tap the masjid's name above the title to open that masjid's page. Questions: Q: Why does Home say Find your masjid? A: You do not follow any masjid yet. Tap Find masjids near me, open a masjid and tap Follow. Q: Which masjid does Home show? A: The masjid marked My masjid. It starts as the first masjid you followed; to change it, open another masjid you follow and tap Make this my masjid. ## Find & follow masjids Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/community/find-follow-masjids Search the masjid directory, find the masjids nearest to you and follow up to three. What it does: - The Masjids tab lists every masjid that has joined the MARHABA directory. You can search by masjid name or place. - Near me sorts the list by distance from where you are and shows the distance in km. - A yellow star marks the masjids you follow. - You can follow up to 3 masjids. Unfollow one before you follow a fourth. - The first masjid you follow becomes My masjid: it is the one shown on Home and on the Give button there. Open another followed masjid and tap Make this my masjid to change it. ### Find the masjids nearest to you 1. Open the Masjids tab. 2. Tap Near me. 3. If your phone asks, allow location. The list now shows the nearest masjids first with their distance. 4. Tap Near me again to go back to the normal order. Good to know: - If you see Allow location to see the nearest masjids, location is blocked for the app. Allow it in your browser or phone settings, or just type the place name in the search box. ### Follow a masjid 1. Open the Masjids tab and search for the masjid by name or place. 2. Tap it to open its page. 3. Tap Follow next to the logo. The button changes to Following with a yellow star. 4. The masjid now appears under Me → Masjids I follow, and its news, events and calendar reach you. Good to know: - If you already follow 3 masjids you will see: You can follow up to 3 masjids. Unfollow one first. ### Unfollow a masjid 1. Open Me and tap the masjid under Masjids I follow (or find it in the Masjids tab). 2. On the masjid page, tap Following. 3. The button goes back to Follow. You stop getting that masjid's notifications for followers. ### Change which masjid is My masjid 1. Open the masjid you want: tap Masjids, or Me → Masjids I follow, and tap it. 2. Under its name and Following button, tap Make this my masjid. 3. The page now says My masjid: shown first on Home, and Home opens with that masjid. Good to know: - The first masjid you follow becomes My masjid on its own. If you unfollow My masjid, the masjid you followed first among the others takes its place. Questions: Q: Why can't I find my masjid? A: Only masjids that use Wisdom Masjid and have chosen to be listed in the MARHABA directory appear. Ask your masjid committee to join or to turn on the listing. Q: Why only three masjids? A: MARHABA is built around your own masjid and a couple of others you visit, such as one near work. The limit keeps notifications useful. Q: Does the masjid know I followed it? A: It sees how many followers a notification will reach, not a list of who they are. ## Masjid page Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/community/masjid-page Everything a masjid shares with the community, on one page. What it does: - Photos at the top (swipe sideways), the logo, tagline, place and the Follow button. The share icon at the top right sends a link to the page. - Quick buttons: Give, Call (the office phone), Map (opens Google Maps) and Times (prayer times for the week). A button shows only when the masjid has added that detail. - Today's prayer times with adhan and iqamah, and the Jumu'ah speaker or topic. - Projects & campaigns: fundraising projects with a progress bar showing how much is received of the target. Tap one for details and Give to this. - News, Apply (forms that are open, with the closing date), Wings (the masjid's madrasa, Zakat cell, orphan care and other wings), Our work (photos and stories of what the masjid has done). - About (description, facilities, address), Contacts (imam, khatib, secretary and others; tap to call), WhatsApp groups (tap to join) and the masjid's own pages such as its history or adhkar. ### See prayer times for the week 1. Open the masjid page (Home → your masjid card, or Masjids → the masjid). 2. Tap Times. 3. A sheet slides up with each day of the week: adhan and iqamah for every prayer. 4. Swipe down to close it. ### Call the masjid or find it on the map 1. Open the masjid page. 2. Tap Call to ring the masjid office, or Map to open its location in your maps app. 3. WhatsApp opens with the group invite. 3. Tap Join group in WhatsApp. ### Follow a project or campaign 1. Open the masjid page and scroll to Projects & campaigns. 2. Tap the project. You see the amount received, the target and progress, and the description. 3. Under Sponsor you see items you can sponsor (for example an Iftar kit) with their price. 4. Where the masjid shares its accounts, Accounts shows what was received, spent and the balance. 5. Tap Give to this to donate to this project, or the share icon to send it to others. ### Learn about a wing and apply 1. Open the masjid page and scroll to Wings. 2. Tap a wing, such as Madrasa or Zakath Cell. 3. Read what it does, its figures, and who is in charge (tap Call to ring them). 4. If the wing takes applications, tap the Apply button at the bottom. See Applications. Questions: Q: Some sections are missing on my masjid's page. Why? A: Each section shows only when the masjid has added it or turned that feature on. For example, Projects & campaigns needs the masjid's events feature and Apply needs at least one open form. Q: Can I see the masjid page without following it? A: Yes. Open it from the Masjids tab. Following only adds it to your Home, notifications and calendar. ## Giving: donations, Zakat and Fitr Zakat Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/community/giving Give to a masjid by UPI or bank transfer, then send the reference number and a screenshot. The masjid checks the payment and sends your receipt. What it does: - Three kinds of giving at the top of the Give screen: Donation, Zakat and Fitr Zakat. Zakat and Fitr Zakat show only when the masjid collects them through the app (Fitr Zakat only during its season). - Donation: choose For: General donation, a donation category (for example building fund) or a project. For a project with items you can choose Sponsor and How many; the amount fills itself. - Fitr Zakat: the masjid's rate per person is shown. Set Number of people with − and +; the amount is worked out for you. - Pay in two steps. 1. Pay the masjid: by UPI (copy the UPI ID or tap Pay with a UPI app) or by bank transfer (the masjid's bank details are shown). 2. Send the payment details: the reference number and a screenshot. - Tick Don't show my name if you do not want your name on the masjid's public lists, such as a project's donor list. - Card or online payment inside the app is not available yet. Payment always happens in your own UPI or bank app. To give online by card or UPI right away, use an appeal on the website's Give to a cause page. ### Give a donation by UPI 1. Open the masjid page and tap Give (or tap Give on Home for your masjid). 2. Keep Donation selected. Under For, pick General donation, a category or a project. 3. Type the Amount or tap a quick amount (₹100, ₹500, ₹1,000, ₹5,000). 4. Under 1. Pay the masjid, keep UPI and tap Pay ₹… with a UPI app. Your UPI app opens with the masjid and amount filled in; pay there. 5. Come back, and in your UPI app copy the reference number (UTR) of the payment. Take a screenshot of the success screen. 6. Under 2. Send the payment details, paste the UPI / bank reference number and choose the screenshot. 7. Tap Send. You see the amount and Sent to the masjid; your receipt comes once they confirm. Good to know: - If the UPI app button does not open anything (for example on a computer), tap Copy next to the UPI ID and pay that ID from your phone. - Both the reference number and the screenshot (image or PDF) are required. ### Give by bank transfer 1. Open Give for the masjid and choose the kind of giving and the amount. 2. Under 1. Pay the masjid, tap BANK. The masjid's bank account details appear. 3. Make the transfer from your bank app using those details. 4. Under 2. Send the payment details, enter the transfer reference number and choose a screenshot of the transfer. 5. Tap Send. ### Pay Zakat to the masjid 1. Open the masjid page and tap Give. 2. Tap Zakat at the top. 3. Type the amount of Zakat you are paying. 4. Pay by UPI or bank, then enter the reference number and choose the screenshot. 5. Tap Send. The masjid records it in its Zakat cell, kept separate from general donations, once it checks the payment. Good to know: - The app does not calculate your Zakat. Work out the amount first, or ask the masjid's Zakat cell. ### Pay Fitr Zakat for your family 1. Open the masjid page and tap Give. 2. Tap Fitr Zakat at the top. The rate per person is shown. 3. Number of people starts at you plus the family members you added under Me → Family. Change it with − and +; the Amount updates by itself. 4. Pay that amount by UPI or bank. 5. Enter the reference number, choose the screenshot and tap Send. Good to know: - Fitr Zakat shows only while the masjid's Fitr Zakat season is open. ### Sponsor items in a project (for example Iftar kits) 1. Open the project from the masjid page and tap Give to this (or pick the project under For on the Give screen). 2. Under Sponsor, choose the item. Its price is shown. 3. Set How many. The Amount becomes price × number. 4. Pay, enter the reference number and screenshot, and tap Send. Questions: Q: Why haven't I got a receipt yet? A: The masjid's treasurer must first find your payment in the masjid's account and approve it. Until then it shows as Processing under Me → My giving. When it is approved you get a notification and the receipt appears there. Q: What if I typed the wrong amount or reference? A: The treasurer checks what actually reached the account. They can approve the correct amount or reject the request with a note. If rejected, you get a notification and the reason shows under My giving; send it again with the right details or contact the masjid. Q: Does Don't show my name hide me from the masjid? A: No. The masjid still sees who paid, because it has to check the payment. It hides your name on public lists, such as a project's donor list. Q: Can I pay by card? A: Not yet. Pay with any UPI app or by bank transfer. ## Giving to an appeal on the website Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/community/give-on-the-website The website's Give to a cause page lists appeals checked by Wisdom Islamic Organization: masjid building work, flood and emergency relief, education and help for families. You can give online with UPI, a card or net banking, without signing in. What it does: - Find appeals on the website's home page under Help a cause (swipe sideways on a phone), or tap Give in the bar at the bottom. Filter by kind: Masjid building & repair, Emergency relief, Education, Help for families. - On a phone the website has a bar at the bottom: Home, Videos, Series, Give and Help. The search button at the top opens the video search. - Each appeal shows who runs it (a masjid or Wisdom Islamic Organization), the story, how much has been raised against the target, the number of donors and recent gifts. - A masjid's appeal is paid straight to that masjid. An organisation appeal is paid to Wisdom Islamic Organization. - Payment is handled by Razorpay. You get a receipt with a receipt number right after paying. ### Give to an appeal 1. Open the appeal on the website (Give in the bar at the bottom of a phone, or on the home page under Help a cause). 2. On a phone, tap Give now at the bottom. On a computer, the form is beside the story. 3. Tap an amount (₹500, ₹1,000, ₹2,500, ₹5,000) or type your own under Other amount (at least ₹10). 4. Enter your name, and your phone if you want it on the receipt. Tap + Add email or a message to add an email or a short prayer. 5. Tick Hide my name on this page if you do not want your name in the recent gifts. 6. Tap Give. Razorpay opens: pay by UPI, card or net banking. 7. After paying you see JazakAllahu khairan and your receipt. Tap Share on WhatsApp to send it, or Save as PDF or print to keep it. Good to know: - For a masjid's appeal, Open the masjid receipt shows the masjid's own receipt with its QR check. It names the appeal, says Paid by Online (Razorpay) and shows the payment id. Questions: Q: Money left my account but I saw no receipt. A: Don't pay again. The payment is recorded within a few minutes. Keep the Razorpay payment id from your SMS or email and contact the masjid, or the organisation for its appeals. Q: Why does an appeal say online giving is not ready? A: The masjid has not finished connecting its payment account yet. Try again later, or give to the masjid in the app. ## My giving Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/community/my-donations Every donation, Zakat and Fitr Zakat you sent through the app, with its status and receipt. What it does: - Open Me → My giving. - Each row shows what it was for (Donation, Zakat or Fitr Zakat with the number of people), the masjid, the date, UPI or BANK with your reference, and the amount. - Status: Processing (waiting for the masjid to check), Verified (approved, receipt issued) or Rejected (not approved; the masjid's note is shown). - When verified, a Receipt button opens the receipt. ### Open the receipt for a donation 1. Open the Me tab and tap My giving. 2. Find the donation. Its status should be Verified. 3. Tap Receipt (with the receipt number). The receipt opens and shows Genuine receipt with the details. 4. Tap Share on WhatsApp to send the receipt link, or Download PDF to keep a copy. ### Find out why a payment was rejected 1. Open Me → My giving. 2. Find the row marked Rejected and read the note under it. 3. Fix what the note asks (for example a clearer screenshot or the right reference) and send it again from the Give screen, or call the masjid from its page. Questions: Q: A donation I paid in cash at the masjid is not here. Why? A: My giving lists only what you sent through the app. A cash payment gets a printed or shared receipt from the collector. Q: How long does checking take? A: It depends on the masjid; the treasurer has to see the money in the masjid's account first. You get a notification as soon as it is approved or rejected. ## Applications Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/community/applications Apply to a masjid for admission, help or sponsorship, and follow your application to the decision. What it does: - Masjids publish forms such as Madrasa or Darul Quran admission, Hostel, Medical aid, Zakath cell assistance or Orphan care sponsorship. Open forms appear under Apply on the masjid page and on the wing's page. - If a form asks who it is for, choose Myself or someone from your family list (Me → Family). - After sending you get an acknowledgement number, for example ABC-APP-00012. Keep it when you talk to the masjid. - Status: submitted, under review, approved, rejected, waitlisted or closed. You get a notification on each change. - The application page shows the progress with dates and notes, your answers and the files you sent (you can download them again). ### Send an application 1. Open the masjid page and scroll to Apply (or open a wing and tap Apply: …). 2. Tap the form. Read the instructions in the blue box at the top. 3. If asked Who is this for?, choose Myself or a family member. 4. Fill in the fields. Fields marked as required must be filled; for file fields, choose a photo or PDF. 5. Tap Send application at the bottom. 6. Note the number shown under Application sent, then tap See status. Good to know: - To apply for a family member, first add them under Me → Family so they appear in the list. ### Check the status of an application 1. Open Me → Applications. 2. Each row shows the form, the acknowledgement number, the date and the status. 3. Tap a row to see Progress (each step with its date and any note), the masjid's decision note, Your answers and Files you sent. 4. Tap a file to download your copy. Questions: Q: Can I change an application after sending it? A: No. Contact the masjid with your acknowledgement number, or send a new application if they ask you to. Q: Who sees my medical or income details? A: Only the masjid staff who are allowed to handle sensitive answers. Other staff see the application without them. Q: What happens when an admission or Zakat application is approved? A: The masjid's records are updated for you: an approved madrasa admission can make you (or your child) a student, and approved Zakat assistance adds you to the Zakat cell's receivers. The masjid will contact you about the next steps. ## Calendar Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/community/calendar Classes, programmes and events of the masjids you follow and of the organisation, with reminders. Open the Calendar tab and tap the settings icon at the top right. My calendars opens. 2. Untick a calendar to hide its events and stop its reminders. 3. For each calendar you keep, pick a reminder: Remind me as the masjid suggests, No reminders, 15 minutes before, 1 hour before, 1 day before, or 1 day and 1 hour before. 4. Tap Save at the bottom. Good to know: - Reminders arrive in your Notifications list in the app. The web version does not yet send alerts to your phone's lock screen, so for alarms add the calendar to your phone's calendar (next task). ### Add the events to your phone's calendar 1. Open the Calendar tab and tap the settings icon at the top right. 2. Under Add to my phone's calendar, tap Get my calendar link. 3. Tap Open in my calendar app and confirm the subscription in your calendar app. 4. Or tap Copy link and paste it into Google Calendar (Other calendars → From URL). 5. Your phone's calendar now keeps these events up to date by itself, with your phone's own reminders. Good to know: - The link is private to you. Don't share it: anyone with it can see your calendar events. Questions: Q: Why don't I see my masjid's events? A: Follow the masjid first, and check My calendars that its calendar is ticked. Some events are only for members of the masjid. Q: An event repeats every week. Can I hide just one week? A: No. You can hide a whole calendar or change its reminders. If the masjid cancels one week, that day shows the event as Cancelled. ## Videos & series Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/community/videos Khutbahs, classes and talks from the masjids, played from YouTube inside the app. What it does: - Featured videos at the top (swipe sideways), then category tabs and the full list with duration, speaker, masjid and views. - Search by title or speaker. - Tap a video to play it in a sheet. From there: the masjid's name opens its page, See the whole series opens the series, Share sends the link, Report a problem tells the team something is wrong. - A series page lists its videos in order; Previous and Next move through them. - Videos the masjid makes public are also on the Wisdom Masjid website (the site address without /app): anyone can watch them there without signing in, by topic and series, and share the link. ### Find and watch a video 1. Open the Videos tab. 2. Type a title or speaker in the search box, or tap a category tab. 3. Tap the video. It plays at the top of the sheet; turn the phone or use the full-screen button for a bigger picture. 4. Swipe the sheet down to stop and close it. ### Watch a series in order 1. Play any video that belongs to a series. 2. Tap See the whole series. 3. Tap the first video, then use Next and Previous to move through the series. ### Report a video that does not play or is wrong 1. Play the video. 2. Tap Report a problem. 3. Write what is wrong, for example it does not play, or the content is not right. 4. Tap Send report. Questions: Q: Does watching use the app or YouTube? A: Videos are hosted on YouTube and play inside the app. They use your mobile data like YouTube does. Q: Is there a live khutbah stream? A: Not yet. Live Friday khutbah is planned for later; for now the masjids add recordings. ## Notifications Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/community/notifications Messages from your masjids and the organisation, and updates about your payments, applications and events. What it does: - Open with the bell at the top of Home or Me, or Me → Notifications. - Unread messages have a blue dot. Tabs: All and Unread. Mark all read clears the dots. - Some messages open a screen when tapped (a news item, an event, prayer times). Others open as a sheet with the full text. - Some messages ask you to confirm: tap I have read this. - You get automatic notifications when a payment is approved or rejected, when your application's status changes, and for calendar reminders. ### Read your notifications 1. Tap the bell at the top of Home. 2. Tap Unread to see only new messages. 3. Tap a message to open it. 4. If it says Please confirm you have read this, open it and tap I have read this. 5. Tap Mark all read at the top to clear all the blue dots. Questions: Q: Why don't notifications pop up on my phone? A: The web version of the app shows notifications inside the app only; phone alerts are not switched on yet. Open the bell to see new messages. Q: Who can send me notifications? A: The masjids you follow (and the masjid where you are a member), and the Wisdom organisation for your district, zone or unit. ## Me & family Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/community/me-family Your profile, the people in your home, the masjids you follow and your masjid membership. What it does: - The Me tab has four tabs: Profile, Family, My giving and Applications. - Profile: tap Edit to change your name, email, date of birth, gender, WhatsApp number, state, district, panchayath, native place, job and organisation. Your sign-in phone number cannot be changed here. - Family: people in your home (name, relation, date of birth, gender). They are used to fill in forms for a family member. This list is yours only; it does not change the masjid's family register. - Masjid membership: if a masjid you follow has you in its member register with the same phone number, you can link it here. - Language, Notifications and Sign out are at the bottom of Profile. ### Edit your profile 1. Open the Me tab. 2. Tap Edit next to your name. My profile opens. 3. Change what you need. For WhatsApp number, pick the country first. 4. Tap Save. ### Add a family member 1. Open Me and tap the Family tab. 2. Tap Add a person. 3. Enter the Name and choose the Relation (spouse, son, daughter, father, mother, brother, sister or other). 4. Add the date of birth and gender if you like. 5. Tap Save. To change or remove someone later, tap their name; Delete removes them. ### Link your masjid membership 1. Follow the masjid where you are a member (see Find & follow masjids). 2. Open the Me tab. Under Masjid membership, the app looks for a member with your phone number. 3. If it finds one, you see Is this you? with the name, house name and masjid. 4. Tap Yes, link, then Link to confirm. 5. Your membership now shows in green with a Dues & receipts button. Good to know: - If you see No member with your phone number was found, the masjid has a different number for you (or none). Ask the masjid office to update your phone number in the register, or to link your app account from their side. - To undo, tap Unlink. You can link again later. Questions: Q: How do I change my phone number? A: Your phone number is your sign-in, so it cannot be changed in the app. Sign in with the new number to make a new account, and ask your masjid to update the number in its register. Q: Is my Family list the same as my family in the masjid register? A: No. Your Family list is only for filling forms in the app. The masjid's register is kept by the masjid; after linking your membership you can see it under Dues & receipts. ## Membership dues & receipts Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/community/membership-dues After linking your membership, see what you owe the masjid, your receipts and your family, and pay dues with proof. What it does: - Open Me → Dues & receipts (shown after you link your membership). - The top card says who the fees are paid by (the family or the member), Due now and Paid in advance. - Open dues lists each unpaid month or fee with what is left to pay. - Your family as the masjid has it in its register: house name, family number, members and who is Head. - Payments lists your receipts with date and mode. Tap one to open the receipt. A reversed payment is shown struck through. - Share my statement sends a link to your statement that anyone can open without signing in. - Pay dues works like giving: pay by UPI or bank, then send the reference and a screenshot. Card or online payment of dues is not available yet. ### Check what you owe 1. Open the Me tab. 2. Under Masjid membership, tap Dues & receipts. 3. Look at Due now (amber when something is due, green when you are clear) and Paid in advance. 4. Scroll to Open dues to see which months or fees are unpaid. ### Pay your dues 1. Open Me → Dues & receipts and tap Pay dues. 2. The Amount is filled with everything due. Change it, or tap a chip to pay only the oldest due or All. 3. Under 1. Pay the masjid, choose UPI (tap Pay ₹… with a UPI app, or copy the UPI ID) or BANK (use the bank details shown) and pay. 4. Under 2. Send the payment details, enter the reference number and choose the screenshot. 5. Tap Send. A line on the top card shows the amount as waiting for the masjid to check. 6. When the treasurer approves it, you get a notification and the receipt appears under Payments. Good to know: - Your payment always clears the oldest dues first. If you pay more than is due, the extra is kept as Paid in advance and used for the coming months. - You can pay even when nothing is due; it is kept as advance. ### Share your membership statement 1. Open Me → Dues & receipts. 2. Scroll down and tap Share my statement. 3. Choose WhatsApp or another app and send it. Good to know: - Anyone with the link sees your dues and receipts, so share it only with people you trust, for example a family member who pays for you. Questions: Q: Why does it say Fees are paid for the family? A: Your masjid bills membership per family, so dues are shared by the whole family and shown under the family's payer. If the masjid bills per member, it says Fees are paid by the member. Q: My cash payment at the masjid is not shown. Why? A: It shows once the collector has handed it in and the receipt is in the masjid's system. If a receipt you were given is missing, contact the masjid with the receipt number. Q: Dues & receipts says to link my membership first. A: Go back to Me and link your membership under Masjid membership. See Me & family. ## Links without signing in Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/community/public-links Receipts, statements, student fee pages and event pages that a masjid shares as a link open in any browser, without an account. Older links without /app (from before October 2026) still work: they open the same page. What it does: - Receipt (/app/r/…): opened from a receipt QR code or a shared link. It shows Genuine receipt in green, Cancelled receipt in red, or Demo receipt in amber, with the masjid, receipt number, date, who paid, each item, any advance and the total. - Member or family statement (/app/p/…): the masjid, the member or family, Pending dues, Paid in advance, the list of dues and the receipts (tap one to open it). - Student (/app/s/…): the madrasa, the student's name, admission number and class, with pending fees, advance and receipts. - Event (/app/e/…): a project's name, description, progress to the target, Received / Spent / Balance, sponsorship items, the list of donations and the list of expenses. - Every public page has a language button (English / മലയാളം) at the top right. - If a link is wrong or no longer shared, the page says This link is not valid. ### Check that a receipt is genuine 1. Scan the QR code on the printed receipt with your phone camera, or tap the receipt link you were sent. 2. The receipt page opens in your browser. No sign-in is needed. 3. Check the top band: Genuine receipt means it is in the masjid's records. 4. Compare the receipt number, date, name and amount with the paper or image you have. 5. If it says Cancelled receipt, the masjid reversed that payment; ask the masjid why. ### See a family's dues from a shared link 1. Tap the statement link sent by the masjid or a family member. 2. Read Pending at the top: red means something is due, green means all paid. 3. Below it, see each due and what is left, and Paid in advance if any. 4. Under Receipts, tap a receipt number to open the receipt. ### Check a student's madrasa fees 1. Tap the student link sent by the madrasa. 2. Check the student's name, admission number and class at the top. 3. See Pending fees and the list of dues below. 4. Tap a receipt under Receipts to open it. ### See how a project is doing 1. Tap the event link shared by the masjid. 2. See how much has been received of the target, and what has been spent and the balance. 3. Scroll to see sponsorship items with how many are sponsored, then the donations and expenses lists. 4. To give, sign in to the app and open the project from the masjid's page. Questions: Q: Is it safe that anyone with the link can see my statement? A: The link is long and hard to guess, and it shows no phone numbers. Still, treat it like a private document and share it only with people you trust. Q: Why are some donors shown as Anonymous or by initials on an event page? A: Donors can ask not to show their name, and the masjid chooses whether the page shows full names, initials or none. Q: The page says This link is not valid. A: The link may be cut off (copy the whole link) or the masjid may have stopped sharing it. Ask the masjid for a fresh link. ## How it works Page: https://marhaba.wisdomislam.org/help/community/how-it-works The ideas behind MARHABA, so the app's behaviour makes sense. What it does: - Payments wait for the masjid. The app never takes your money: you pay the masjid's UPI ID or bank account directly. The app only carries your reference number and screenshot to the masjid. Until the treasurer sees the money in the masjid's account and approves it, your payment shows as Processing (or, for dues, waiting for the masjid to check) and does not count. Once approved it is recorded in the right fund (donations, Zakat cell, Fitr Zakat or membership) and a real receipt is issued. If it is rejected, nothing is recorded and you see the reason. - Receipts carry a QR code. Every receipt the masjid issues has its own secret link, printed as a QR code. Scanning it opens the receipt from the masjid's records, so anyone can check it is genuine. A receipt is never edited: if a mistake is found the masjid cancels (reverses) it and the same link then shows Cancelled receipt. - Following decides what reaches you. You can follow up to 3 masjids. Following brings that masjid's news, calendar events and notifications for followers to you, and puts the first one on Home as My masjid. You can still open any listed masjid's page and give to it without following it. - Your masjid sees only what the app needs. Following does not share your details. Giving shares your name, phone and payment proof with that masjid so it can check the payment. Applying shares your answers and files with that masjid. Linking your membership only connects your app account to the member record the masjid already has; your profile, family list and other masjids stay private. - Dues work the same in the app as at the masjid counter. The masjid's fee plans create a due each month (for each member or each family). A payment clears the oldest dues first, and anything extra is kept as advance for later months. - Organisation messages come by area. The Wisdom organisation can send news, events and notices to the masjids in a district, zone or unit; you see them through the masjids you follow. ### Follow a payment from sending to receipt 1. Send the payment from Give or Pay dues. It appears as Processing under Me → My giving (dues show on the Dues & receipts card as waiting to be checked). 2. The masjid's treasurer matches your reference number with the money in the masjid's account. 3. When approved, you get a notification and the status changes to Verified. 4. Tap Receipt (My giving) or the receipt under Payments (Dues & receipts) to open it. 5. Scan its QR code or share its link any time to show it is genuine. Questions: Q: Why doesn't the app take card payments directly? A: Money goes straight into each masjid's own account, which is safest for everyone. Online payment needs each masjid to set up its own payment account, and that is not available yet. Q: Can the masjid change a receipt after it is issued? A: No. Financial records are never edited. A wrong receipt is cancelled and a new one issued, and the old link shows Cancelled receipt. Q: What does my masjid see when I follow it? A: Nothing about you personally. Only the number of followers is used, for example to show how many people a notification will reach.
